Webinar : High Level Thinking

The High-Level Forum invites you to a timely online event exploring two major forces reshaping our world: the rapid rise of artificial intelligence and the growing instability of global supply chains. These sessions bring together voices from across sectors to tackle a critical question as the pace of change accelerates, are we doing enough to build systems that protect our shared values and ensure long-term resilience?

Session 1 - AI Disruption: Shaping the Future

Thursday, November 13 — 7:00 AM (CEST)

Artificial intelligence is advancing faster than most institutions can adapt. Policies, ethics, and public frameworks are struggling to keep up with a technology that is rewriting the rules in real time. In this session, chaired by Harri Kulmala (DIMECC), experts from research, technology, and industry will explore how we can turn acceleration into alignment ensuring that the development of AI strengthens, rather than undermines, social cohesion and democratic values.

Session 2 - Global Supply Chains in a Fragmented World

Thursday, November 13 — 5:00 PM (CEST)

Behind every clean technology, battery, or digital device lies a supply chain built on critical minerals. As global tensions rise, these supply chains are becoming more fragile, raising urgent questions about access, sustainability, and sovereignty. This session, led by Marie-Pierre Ippersiel (PRIMA Québec) and Richard Dasher (Stanford University), will take a close look at how we can secure the materials that power our future and what it will take to build more resilient and transparent global systems.
