Alexandra Pacureanu

Alexandra Pacureanu is a scientist leading X-ray brain nanoimaging research at the European Synchrotron (ESRF). She develops technology across X-ray microscopy and large scale data analysis to decipher the structure and function of natural neural circuits. She created her research group in 2020 thanks to support from the European Research Council. Pacureanu holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Signal Processing from INSA Lyon and prior to joining the ESRF she was a researcher at Uppsala University and the Science for Life Laboratory in Sweden, at University College London in the UK, and at Harvard Medical School in the USA.
