Biography
Pierre L. Gauthier joined Napec as a director in 2013 and became CEO in August 2014. His career has been in the energy industry with Gulf Canada Ltd., Gaz Métropolitain, ABB and Alstom. Before joining Napec, he was chairman and CEO of Alstom US and Canada, based in Washington DC since 2008.
A Mechanical Engineer graduate from the l’École Polytechnique de Montréal, Pierre has also a Diploma in Advanced Management from the INSEAD business school in France.
He received an Honorary PhD from the École Polytechnique de Montréal, the Knights medal of the French Legion of Honour, is a member of several industry associations including the US Council for Competitiveness and the Canadian National Electricity Roundtable and is a director of the Montreal Cancer Institute Foundation.
