Prof. Emanuela Todeva is currently the President of the Triple helix Association and Director for the Research Centre on Business Clusters, Networks and Economic Development (BCNED). Her interdisciplinary research spreads across the fields of global value chain, business clusters and drivers of competitiveness; regional/ national innovation systems, science parks and incubators; multi-level governance and governance of innovation; triple helix and multi-stakeholder approach to coordination and consensus, smart specialisation and inter-regional collaborations; business development through knowledge transfer; social enterprise and the attainment of global sustainable development goals.
Formerly Professor of International Business Strategy and Innovation at established universities in the UK, she has published numerous academic articles and business analytical reports on the global pharmaceutical value chain, capability mapping, competitiveness and comparative cluster performance, strategic alliance management and internationalisation strategies. She is currently consulting in the field of smart specialisation, small business development, R&D partnerships, circular economy, green technologies, nanotechnologies, and knowledge transfer across the public-private interface.
