Kirsi Hyytinen

Dr. Kirsi Hyytinen has 20 years of experience in research, technology and innovation policy research. Currently she is leading ‘Future-proof Societies’ team at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland which focuses on supporting decision-makers to have concrete means to understand the future needs, design proactive policies and to analyse their impacts in the field of innovation and sustainable society. Her key areas of expertise are e.g.: innovation system, impact evaluation of RDI, methodology development in future-oriented and systemic impact evaluation, service innovation, social innovation and systemic change. Her recent work has focused on the development of new impact leadership methodology by integrating futures view and systems view into evaluation of RDI. Besides, she has been responsible in developing and implementing impact evaluation approach, model and related measures of Success (KPIs) as part of management and strategy work of VTT, various national innovation ecosystems and other RDI organizations.
