Supported by Grenoble Alpes Métropole and the City of Grenoble, the High Level Forum, the international network of innovation ecosystems, was launched in 2012 by GIANT Innovation Campus: Grenoble Innovation for Advanced New Technologies.
Located in the heart of Grenoble in the French Alps, the GIANT Innovation Campus is one of the leading innovation ecosystems in France.
Top research and innovation activity are structured along the axes of fundamental research, energy, health, information technologies and innovation management.
GIANT has been imagined and built collectively by 8 founding members from Grenoble: CEA, CNRS, EMBL, ESRF, Grenoble Ecole de Management, Grenoble INP, ILL and Université Grenoble Alpes with 3 main objectives:
• to address the major societal challenges regarding information and communication, energy, healthcare
• to facilitate synergies between institutions and to create technological districts and centers of excellence on key application areas
• to harmonise urban and scientific development, as well as create jobs
