Petri Räsänen

Mr. Petri Räsänen (born 1966) is director of the Tampere Chip Program at Business Tampere Ltd. Petri earned his M.Sc. in Sociology, Business Administration, and International Relations. He has extensive experience in innovation management and digital policy, including holding managerial positions at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland, Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT), SecGo Group, and Technology Centre Hermia. While at Hermia, he founded the Finnish Centre for Open Source Software, co-creation platform Demola, start-up community Protomo and was Director of Innovation Platforms. As Director of Innovation and Foresight at the Council of Tampere Region he was responsible for regional policies on innovation and the twin transition.
