Karine Samuel is Professor at Grenoble INP-UGA, Graduate schools of Engineering and Management, and a researcher at the Center for Research in Business and Management (CERAG) of the Université Grenoble Alpes. She defended her thesis in management science on the issues posed by cultural integration in mergers and acquisitions, and from the start of her career has been interested in the mutation of organizations and their capacity to adapt to change. She has published around a hundred scientific articles and books or book chapters in the fields of corporate strategy and supply chain management, supervised fifteen theses. Today, her areas of expertise focus on supply risks and organizational resilience in crisis situations. She develops sector-specific methodological approaches to help companies better understand the risks they face. Since 2022, she has been one of the directors of the CESAER network and scientific advisor for the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF). At national level, she is President of the International Association for Research in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (AIRL-SCM) and a member of the Board of Directors of France Supply Chain, the French professional association of supply chain managers.
