Dr. Wei-Chao Chen is a Vice President and Senior Expert at the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), a Visiting Professor at National Taiwan University, and the Co-Founder of Skywatch Innovation, which develops cloud-based IoT and video solutions. His expertise lies in graphics hardware, computational photography, augmented reality, and computer vision. His extensive experience includes leadership roles such as Senior Vice President at Inventec (2020–2025) and Chief AI Advisor (2018–2020). He has held positions at prestigious institutions like the Nokia Research Center in Palo Alto (Senior Research Scientist), NVIDIA (3D Graphics Architect), and as an adjunct faculty member at National Taiwan University. Dr. Chen holds degrees from National Taiwan University and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
